This year, your business can elevate customer engagement like never before. With powerful updates to our Freedom product—integrating WhatsApp, AI-driven contact management, and seamless CRM connections—Voys is making communication smarter, faster, and more personal. Plus, our global expansion means more businesses can benefit from our innovative approach. Here’s how we’re shaping the future of customer relationships.
This year, your organisation can take customer engagement to the next level. Whether you’re looking to work smarter, build stronger customer relationships, or expand internationally—Voys is here to make it happen. We’re driving this forward with two major focus areas: upgrading our Freedom product, and expanding our global footprint.
These innovations make customer engagement more personal, more efficient, and just plain better. Here’s how we’re doing it.
The heart of our communication platform, Freedom, is evolving in three exciting ways.
WhatsApp is fast, personal, and, let’s be honest—practically glued to our hands. Globally, it boasts over 2.95 billion active users, with projections to reach 3.14 billion by the end of 2025.
In South Africa, WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 314,000 in late April 2024 and active users hovering around 21 million throughout the second quarter of 2024.
While WhatsApp works great for individuals, businesses often require enhanced functionalities, such as support for multiple users. Recognising this need, in early 2025, we’re integrating WhatsApp into our product with a new desktop client, aiming to provide a more robust communication tool for businesses.
Nobody likes answering a call with zero context. Who’s calling? Why? What do they want? Context makes conversations smoother and more personal. In 2024, we improved our name recognition feature so businesses could better identify incoming callers.
Now, in 2025, we’re taking it up a notch—automatically building a contact book for your company. AI will populate it with business names and relationships, making every customer interaction smarter and more efficient.
Our first AI feature, voicemail transcription, launched in 2024 and is now used by over 23,000 customers every day. Next up: sentiment analysis, helping businesses gauge whether a voicemail’s tone is positive, neutral, or negative. It’s already in testing, and it’s working brilliantly.
We’ve also improved name recognition, making it more accurate. Soon, this will be integrated into voicemail transcription—so names from voicemails will automatically populate your company’s contact book. Imagine seeing a notification that says, “John from ABC Bouw is calling. He spoke to Thandi yesterday, but she’s on another call.” That’s next-level customer engagement.
In the future, we’ll apply transcription, sentiment analysis, and name recognition to live calls and recordings, making conversations clearer and identifying ways to improve customer relationships.
Our AI features will likely be paid add-ons (this tech doesn’t come cheap). But unlike others who shift compliance responsibility onto customers, we’re committed to doing it right. That’s why we run AI on our own hardware—ensuring security, GDPR compliance, and adherence to new European AI regulations.
We believe businesses shouldn’t have to choose between innovation and privacy. With Voys, you get both.
While our new contact book makes managing customer relationships easier, many businesses already use CRM solutions. That’s why we now integrate with over 200 CRM systems, giving customers instant access to vital contact info.
In 2025, we’re taking this even further—integrating a CRM add-on into our new desktop client. This means easier setup, better functionality, and a seamless communication experience.
For desk phone users, we’re also exploring ways to integrate both the company contact book and CRM data—helping you instantly see who’s calling and why it matters.
As of early 2025, Voys is officially active in eight countries. This expansion allows us to increase our impact while funding further innovations to help our customers.
On top of this, we now offer phone numbers in over 50 countries—helping international customers stay connected wherever they operate.
Voys has moved beyond being just a telecom provider. First, we became a communication provider. Now, we’re taking the next step: becoming a relationship provider.
By giving businesses better insight into their customer networks and contact history, we’re changing the way they communicate—creating stronger, longer-lasting relationships. And in today’s world, where customer loyalty is king, that’s what sets businesses apart.
Ultimately, our goal is simple: to help companies become the best version of themselves—professional, reliable, and future-ready.
Together, let’s build customer relationships that last.
